Earn money while you learn the skills you need to succeed. You'll get recognised qualifications, full support during training and great career prospects at the end.

You will be entitled to an allowance of £30 for attending Engagement and up to £50 for Level 1 depending on the hours that you attend.

Traineeship offers both the chance to job taste in a variety of work environments and also the opportunity to work towards a qualification. It allows you to demonstrate potential and suitability through structured work experience.

BENEFITS OF THE SCHEME INCLUDE:

HOW YOU WILL BE PAID

You will receive a training allowance through the Powys County Council payroll system. This will be done using a bank transfer system, which means you must have a bank or building society account.

You are required to submit a weekly attendance record, as this enables your allowance to be processed and late submission will mean that payment will be delayed. Your allowance will be paid into your bank account.

ATTENDANCE

Attendance is flexible, but you will be required to attend learning for a minimum of 12 hours during the first four weeks and then for a minimum of 21 hours, (excluding one meal break per day and including hours attending day release courses). Your training allowance will be based on the number of hours that you attend, e.g. £30 for attending Engagement and up to £50 for Level 1.

HOLIDAY

While you are on programme, you are entitled to 2 days holiday per calendar month. You are also entitled to statutory holidays, like bank holidays.

Thank you everyone – you work so hard to make it enjoyable and friendly… you made every day great fun.”
