Welshpool is situated on the English border and the River Severn, very close to Offa's Dyke. The Shropshire Canal also runs through the town.

Powys Training is a well-established training provider for local businesses and individuals based in the local library. We have four computers, with access to printers, Internet and E-mail.

Friendly, qualified, and professional staff work together as a team to the benefit of the learner. We have excellent, well established working relationships with local employers, Careers Wales, Jobcentre Plus, and the Welsh Assembly Government. We work in partnership with local schools by providing support that encourages young learners of high school age to develop themselves and their skills level.

Staff provide a wide range of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), ICT training, Confidence Building courses, and Job Search programmes.

We are constantly striving to maintain and improve the services provided to the local community.
