Llandrindod Town CentreAs its name implies, the history of Llandrindod Wells is linked with the health-giving waters, which it still provides for visitors today. Llandrindod Wells flourished as a Spa town after the arrival of the railway in the mid 19th Century, and this Victorian renaissance is reflected in the annual Victorian Festival held every August.

Powys Training is situated in the centre of the town, adjacent to a local supermarket. It is very well established in the area, and is well known for its friendly atmosphere that encourages and promotes learning. The premises were purpose built, with disabled access, two highly equipped ICT training suites; one of the training suites is a front facing classroom setting with eight Pentium PCs, and the other is set out with seven PCs around the perimeter of the room. All PCs have access to the Internet, as well as colour and mono printing facilities. An LCD data projector is also available.

These facilities, along with the spacious meeting room, are available for hire. For more information, please contact the Centre on 0800 328 0881.

Our experienced and friendly staff are available to discuss and deliver a wide range of learning opportunities, including National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), ICT training, Key Skills, Job Search and Confidence Building courses.

Llandrindod BandstandStaff are knowledgeable of the local labour market and liaise closely with employers and other professional bodies to identify and support local training needs. We work in partnership with local schools, by providing support that encourages young learners of high school age to develop themselves and their skills level, as well as Career Wales Powys, and Jobcentre Plus to allow learners to progress into the workforce.

We are constantly striving to maintain and improve the services provided to the local community.
