Providing Access to Learning for Learners with Disabilities

"Powys Training will take all necessary steps to ensure that any learner, or potential learner, with a disability is not dealt with any less favorably because of that disability. It will also make any necessary and reasonable adjustments to enable the learner to participate fully and effectively.

Powys Training will also ensure that, as far as is reasonable, their learning programmes are accessible to learners with disabilities, including those with physical or sensory impairments, dyslexia, medical conditions, mental health difficulties and learning difficulties. It is fully committed to supporting disabled learners in any practical way that will assist them to achieve their learning goals.

Powys Training is fully committed to raising staff awareness and competence in dealing with leaner's disabilities and assisting them to adapt to their chosen learning programme."
