Powys Training is a place where you can learn the basic things like English and Mathematics. I’ve attended Powys training for approximately 2 years and the sessions have been well …wonderful! You can have fun but still learn something at the same time. Unlike school where you are in a classroom of 20 odd pupils and might be reluctant to share your ideas in group discussion because you might think other pupils might make fun. Well you don’t have to worry anymore because Powys Training has minimised the chance of that by only having 6 pupils in each group. You may not be too confident at first but in time your confidence will grow. Powys Training isn’t here to scare you off, it’s here to help, guide and point you in the right direction – whatever you would like to call it. Once you get to know the people at Powys Training you will soon realise they’re nice people and not your enemy. School Student – Damien Davies – Newtown Powys Training has been excellent. I have been coming for over a year and I have completed a qualification in Adult Numeracy. We have a great laugh and it is really fun. I have learnt so much and I will be sad to leave. Powys Training has helped me with my Literacy and Numeracy skills. I think throughout the year I have improved a lot with my literacy, spelling, grammar and the use of Capital letters where and when necessary. My Numeracy skills have also improved, the understanding of measurements, capacity, weight and the rounding of numbers. I hope the understanding of all this will help in the near future.

The way I was taught at Powys Training has helped me improve my Basic Skills needs. I was having a lot of trouble with my reading and spelling and also some difficulty with my Numeracy, like multiplication and division. My tutor has helped me with this by being very patient and understanding throughout. I like coming to Powys Training because it has helped me reach the next level in Literacy and Numeracy. They have helped me to write neater, spell and read better too.
